Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is a chemical solution, which often consists of natural or synthetic acids with a pH much lower than that of normal, healthy skin that is applied to the face, hands or body. It’s a technique used to improve the overall appearance of the skin on the face, neck, décolleté and hands. The new regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the older skin. The solution loosens or destroys superficial, damaged skin cells in order to evoke the formation of new healthy tissues in the deeper layers of the skin. It can largely be summed up as to discard old skin cells to make space for new ones. Therefore it causes the skin to peel so that the new skin can grow in its place.
